Deer On the Road--Who Do You Call?
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will remove a dead deer on any road if it is within 50 feet of the cartway.For dead deer within 50 feet of the roadway (for roads NOT covered by the PennDOT contract) residents can contact the PA Game Commission via fax to 610-926-8835. For dead deer on PennDOT contract roads (Routes 1 and 202), the PA State Police should be called at 484-840-1000.
Be certain to include the exact location including:
* COUNTY
* TOWNSHIP
* STREET NAME & DIRECTION
* NEAREST CROSS STREET(S) (e.g. on the shoulder of southbound Ring Rd. between Ridge Rd. and Baltimore Pike)
* YOUR NAME & CALL BACK NUMBER.
