The Chadds Ford Township Sewer Authority held a special meeting on this date in the Chadds Ford Township building. This special meeting was advertised as required.

Present: Chairman Vincent Del Rossi, Treasurer Keith C. Klaver, Secretary Paul Koch, Roland Martin. Not present: Vice-Chairman Marc S. Altman. Also in attendance were J. Authority Solicitor J. Michael Sheridan, Esq.; Authority Engineer Evan Andrews; Garry Paul, Board of Supervisors representative to the Sewer Authority; and Mary J. Walter, asst. secretary/asst. treasurer.

Chairman Del Rossi called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. The Board immediately convened an Executive Session.

The Board adjourned the Executive Session at 7:40 p.m. and reconvened the Public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Del Rossi announced that the Board discussed pending litigation at the Executive Session.

On a motion from Mr. Klaver and a second by Mr. Koch, the Board voted to offer the Department of Environment Protection, in response to the DEP’s earlier offer, the construction and installation of equalization and screening at the Ridings Wastewater Treatment Plant within three years and payment of a civil penalty of $5000.00. Motion carried. The Board instructed Mr. Sheridan to draft the appropriate response letter to the DEP for Mr. Del Rossi’s signature.
