PUBLIC COMMENT - None

MINUTES

The Planning Commission (Vernon/Whelan) motioned and approved the Minutes of the May 10, 2006 meeting.

2006 Community Development Block Grant

In a letter addressed to Chairman D’Elia, our Township received notification of approval of a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $50,000 for Phase I of a Municipal Comprehensive Plan Update.  A meeting is to be held during the week of June 19-23, 2006 with the Delaware County Office of Housing and Community Development.  Mr. Taylor will contact Ms. D’Elia regarding attendance at this meeting.

Mr. Taylor suggested that a Committee be formed including members of the Planning Commission, Open Space Committee, experts, members of the community, and a liaison from the Board of Supervisors.  Mr. Mastronardo stated that Pennoni Associates would be interested in becoming involved relative to open space, transportation, and zoning issues.

Calvary Chapel

Although no representative for this Applicant was present, the Planning Commission members had an informal discussion of items in Pennoni Associates’ June 12, 2006 review letter, including the emergency access constructed of pavers between Endo III and Calvary.  Mr. Mastronardo commented that their Traffic Study was only done for Rt. 1 at Brandywine Drive and Rt. 202 at Brandywine Drive and not for Rt. 202 and Rt. 1.  There are many outstanding storm water management issues.

ADJOURNMENT

Upon a motion and second (Whelan/Vernon) the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
